These photos on this page have a general theme "parades in central London"... New Year's Day (held in central London on 1st January believe it or not), Chinese New Year and St Patrick's Day (a parade is held in London not necessarily on 17th March but the nearest Sunday). Although some of the routes overlap, each has a very different look and feel. Hopefully I'll add to these later on with some Notting Hill Carnival photos ....

In 2010 the London New Year Parade reversed its traditional route, starting near Green Park on Piccadilly and finishing at Big Ben in Parliament Square. The pictures in the bottom row were taken as the participants prepared in Berkeley Square before the start.
